In this role, you will also learn how to analyze online metrics and optimize audience engagement. We do not just want content that gets posted. We want content that gets shared, saved, and screenshotted for the group chats.

• Creative Mindset: An eye for short-form video formats (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) and a sharp sense of humor or cultural timing.

• Preferred Technical Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop) and hands-on camera operation experience is a massive plus.

Production Assistant

Join our fast-paced production squad for an internship that bridges creative content creation with technical studio operations. You will support talent, producers, and editors during live and recorded video podcasts while learning the ins and outs of digital broadcasting. This role rotates between the control room and the newsroom, offering a complete look at how sports, culture, and entertainment content is made, edited, and distributed.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Video Production

• Edit Content: Select and cut high-quality, engaging short and mid-form clips for Meadowlark Media and partner platforms.

• Brainstorm & Research: Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and conduct content research for upcoming shows.

• Format Variations: Create platform-specific versions of media assets to maximize audience engagement across channels.

• Field Capture: Assist with camera operation for live events, activations, and remote field content when needed.

• Publish Content: Ensure timely digital delivery of final shows and clips using publishing tools like Wildmoka.

• Organize Assets: Manage the internal media asset system by entering accurate metadata for all files.

Qualifications

• Industry Passion: Strong knowledge of sports, culture, and entertainment with an editorial mindset.

• Technical Interest: Eagerness to learn both creative editing and technical control room hardware/software.

• Basic Skills: Prior experience or baseline proficiency with writing, camera equipment, and adobe creative suite is highly preferred. Control room experience is a plus!

Researcher

We are looking for a brilliant, culturally plugged-in content and journalism researcher to contribute to The Dan Le Batard Show. Your primary mission is to keep the talent and producers up to date with hard-hitting, thought-provoking topics. You are a "child of the internet" who deeply understands the unique, subversive tone of the show. Finding standard sports stats bore you. You want to uncover the bizarre, the hilarious, and the deeply human angles that fit our style.

Key Responsibilities

Show Preparation & In-Depth Research

• Elevate Topics: Provide comprehensive, deep-dive research into major sports, culture, and entertainment stories to provide talent and producers with unique, high-level talking points.

• Make Sports Smarter: Dig past standard headlines to uncover the underlying societal, political, or comedic angles that the show loves to dissect.

• Internet Scavenger: Scan social media and obscure corners of the web to find viral or niche content that perfectly matches the show's sensibilities.

Content & Guest Strategy

• Evolve Show Segments: Suggest audience-grabbing, thought-provoking segments that can drive the daily conversation and create memorable radio/podcast moments.

• Guest Recommendations: Identify and suggest compelling, unconventional guests—ranging from hard-hitting journalists to eccentric internet personalities—who can match the show’s energy.

• Fact-checking and Context: Supply the production team with real-time facts, statistical anomalies, and historical context to add weight to the show's daily debates.

Qualifications

• Deep Show Knowledge: You must have a strong understanding of The Dan Le Batard Show’s editorial voice.

• Child of the Internet: High digital literacy with a sharp eye for internet culture, memes, trends, and fast-moving online narratives.

• Journalistic Instincts: Strong research skills with the ability to vet sources, find unique data points, and analyze information quickly under tight deadlines.

• Sports & Culture: Comprehensive knowledge of both mainstream sports and the broader cultural landscape.
